Music PEI: An Island Affair fundraiser

Facebook page:

Fundraiser for Music PEI

Music PEI is pleased to present An Island Affair, a fundraiser taking place Thursday, November 14th at The Factory Cookhouse.

Island songwriters such as Nudie, Catherine MacLellan, Katie McGarry, Mitch Schurman, Irish Mythen, Emilee Sorrey (Colour Code, Fox and the Hound), Zach Squires and Josh Carter of Coyote will be taking the stage to pay tribute to their local influences by covering their favourite Island artists.

An Island Affair will be an opportunity for the artists – who are donating their time - to raise funds for their industry association, helping Music PEI to continue to support local artists in the form of recording or performing grants, export development, showcasing opportunities, informative panel sessions and introductions to industry professionals.

This is the first of a series of fundraising events to support Music PEI and the work being done to develop our Island music industry.

The show also anticipates the release of a commemorative double LP to be released during Music PEI Week in January, which will feature 32 tracks by previous award Music PEI award winners from the past 12 years.
