The 2014 Cultural Forum: Creative Placemaking
Monday, March 31st in Memorial Hall, Confederation Centre of the Arts

9:30 AM - Registration and Welcome

 

10:00 AM - Keynote Address: The keynote speaker this year will be President and CEO of Artscape Toronto, Tim Jones. The National Post describes the organization as an "internationally renowned elixir for dead or dying neighbourhoods." For over two decades, Jones and his colleagues at Artscape have pioneered the principles of creative placemaking - rejuvinating local businesses, spaces, structures and economies through culture sector partnerships.

 

11:00 AM - Presentations on Community Partnerships: Key community members will lead discussion panels and presentations on community partnerships and local examples of creative placemaking efforts.

 

12:00 PM - Networking Sessions: A light lunch will be provided and will be followed by facilitated discussions with presenters through the afternoon.
