Business of Art Bootcamp
Are you an artist looking to hone your business knowledge? We have openings for people who would like to sit in on the 'Business of Art Boot Camp' component of our upcoming Hive internship.
The 'Business of Art Boot Camp' is a series of workshops designed for creatives and focuses on key business topics. With an emphasis on practical skills training including sales, marketing, communications, and business financials, this program will provide participants with the knowledge, tools and resources to help them establish a sustainable business. Participants will benefit from industry mentors and presenters, and develop a business plan as a key activity during the program.
There are limited spaces available for the workshops (held Tuesdays 9 am - 12 pm for eight weeks starting September 9) - participation is free of charge, however participants are required to sign a learning agreement outlining their commitment to this pilot program. Additionally, you will be expected to pitch in a half day with Culture PEI’s efforts to improve the outcomes and incomes of cultural workers on PEI. This could involve improving our website, helping organize activities, doing research or other duties as assigned.
To apply, contact Nathan Gill (firstname.lastname@example.org
). Please provide a simple outline of your work along with a short description of why you would like to attend these workshops.
