PEI Culture Organizations Support Provincial Cultural Strategy Process
Charlottetown – April 11, 2017 – Members of the coalition of Prince Edward Island cultural organizations offer their enthusiastic support for the Government of PEI’s decision to create a provincial cultural strategy.
The coalition is made up of PEI cultural organizations with province-wide mandates. The organizations represent over 2,000 members working in arts, heritage and creative industries from one end of the Island to the other. Their members contribute significantly to the economy and jobs, as well as community health and wellbeing.
“Strategic provincial investment is critical to allow PEI’s arts, heritage and creative industries to be competitive in today’s global marketplace. We encourage anyone who is interested in the long-term health of PEI’s arts, heritage and creative industries to take part in the community consultations being held across the province in the coming weeks.”
